Isle of Sheppey Sailing Club is a small friendly dinghy and multihull sailing club, situated on the north Kent coast. Only 40 miles from London, with good road and rail links and some of the best sailing waters in the south east of England. Launching is possible at all states of the tide and our shingle beach makes us popular with families. Our members race all year round and we are an RYA Training Centre with sailing and power boat courses. Our site is ideal for cruises to Southend, the Medway and the Swale as well as the lower Thames.. One of the oldest sailing clubs in the UK, our aim is to encourage amateur dinghy and catamaran sailing, with membership open to all. Our purpose built clubhouse has disabled accessible and child friendly changing rooms, bar, kitchen and shoreside entertainment.
As well as the Isle of Sheppey Round The Island Race we also run open sailing events throughout the year, 2024 sees the Blaze Eastern Championships. an Open Day, the Island Race and Scorpion Open Meeting as well as a full program of club racing, training and family sailing events.
